At first Meiling doesn't especially like Sakura. She tries to get Sakura to quit capturing the Clow Cards and leave it up to her and Syaoran. Sakura won't give up that easily. Not only does she keep capturing cards, she does her best to be Meiling's friend. In the end, they turn into friends, and they even have a slumber party. Too bad that Meiling had to move back to Hong Kong. She does com back though when Sakura is transforming the cards. Sakura jumps for joy that Meiling is back in town. They are happy to be fighting side by side again, even though it is just temporary.
